My Child at School

You may hear us talk about Bromcom and My Child at School. Bromcom is the Management Information System which we use to handle all our information in school. Bromcom have an account for parents, called My Child at School. My Child at School allows families to access their children’s educational, attendance and behaviour information, and is also used to make payments online for items such as dinner money, music tuition, school trips etc. Using this secure website, you will be able to pay online using your credit/debit card or continue to make cash payments at PayPoint stores. As we operate a cashless school, MCAS will be our only method of making payments to school.

What are the benefits to parents and students?

  • MCAS is easy-to-use and will offer you the freedom to make online payments whenever and wherever you like, 24/7.
  • The technology used is of the highest internet security available, ensuring that your money will reach school safely – offering you peace of mind.
  • Payments can be made by credit/debit card or also through PayPoint.
  • Full payment histories, balance alerts and statements are available to you securely online at anytime.
  • No student needs to carry cash into school.

What are the benefits to our school?

  • Helps reduce workload for our staff, as we do not need to count cash, pay into bank, reconcile cash accounts etc.
  • Creates more time to lend to educational support and the smooth running of the school.
  • Improves school security.
  • Using MCAS also ensures that all financial transactions are safe and secure – helping us to remove costs associated with us having to manage cash securely on the school premises.
  • The more parents that use MCAS, the greater the benefit is to our school.
Your My Child at School account can be accessed through web browsers or an app. You can access your account if you have given us your email address and we have checked that you have parental responsibility for your child. You will not be able to sign up if you try and use an email address which is not registered on our school system. If you have children at more than one school, or more than one child at Rugeley John Taylor School, you can access them all through the same account.
