I am absolutely delighted to be joining John Taylor MAT (JTMAT) and feel privileged to be part of the founding leadership team for Rugeley John Taylor School. This is a once-in-a-career opportunity to help shape something truly special from the ground up – a school that will grow with its community and provide a high-quality, enriching education for young people across Rugeley and beyond.

I bring to this role 16 years of experience working in schools across Staffordshire and the West Midlands. Throughout my career, I have been driven by a strong belief in inclusive, high-quality teaching and in nurturing a positive and respectful culture where every child feels safe, known, and empowered to achieve their very best. At Rugeley John Taylor School, our vision is rooted in high expectations, excellent teaching, and a deep care for the development of every individual – academically, socially, and emotionally.

We are excited to be going into local primary schools to begin the transition phase, and we know how important it is for children to feel confident and supported as they take this next step in their education. With that in mind, we have been working hard behind the scenes to put together a bespoke transition package. Equally, we look forward to sharing more about what it really means to be a Rugeley John Taylor student – the values we will live by, the opportunities students can expect to enjoy and the culture we will build together.

We are thrilled to welcome you to our nursery, a brand-new early years setting that is opening in September 2026. Located in the heart of an evolving community, and a key part of our all-through school, we will offer a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 3 or above, where every child’s learning journey is celebrated.

Our primary phase will equip your child with an excellent education, important life skills, friendships and starts an educational journey which allows our children to progress through our primary phase and seamlessly into our secondary phase, providing an all-through education of the highest calibre.

Built on the site of a former power station, our motto, “Powered by knowledge. Driven by ambition” signifies the importance we place on learning within our school community, and the fundamental belief that knowledge will allow our students to interact with the wider world more fully and be ambitious for their futures.
