I am delighted to be embarking on a new chapter in my professional journey at Rugeley John Taylor School—an exciting, all-through school project that offers a rare opportunity to help shape a new educational community from its inception. My career began in the banking sector, but in 2000 I transitioned into education, where I have since dedicated myself to supporting young people across a range of settings. I spent 18 years in a secondary school environment, before taking on a pivotal role in the development of a purpose-built Alternative Provision school. Over six and a half incredibly rewarding years, I was privileged to help establish a nurturing and aspirational environment for some of the most vulnerable students in the region.
Joining Rugeley John Taylor School feels like a natural and exciting progression. It is a privilege to once again be involved in a new school build—an opportunity to contribute to the creation of a vibrant, inclusive, and high-achieving learning environment that will serve the Rugeley community for generations to come. I look forward to working collaboratively with staff, students, and families to lay strong foundations and foster a culture of excellence and opportunity.
